Eric Welsby, Senior Consultant (Operations and Partnerships)

Eric Welsby (He/Him) brings over 20 years of political, government, higher education, nonprofit and business ownership experience to Krystal Klir Communications. He has provided project management and strategic planning support to a number of organizations, including the Michigan AFL-CIO, Focus: HOPE and Central Michigan University, along with numerous political and lobbying campaigns. In addition to overseeing operations for Krystal Klir, Eric is co-owner and Chief Operations Officer for its affiliate company Black America Rising.

Eric has nearly a decade of experience as an educator, having taught Political Science and Philosophy at Saginaw Valley State University and Delta College. He also has provided expertise as a trainer, facilitator, content expert and consultant, on topics like government, politics, DE&I and strategic planning, to organizations including the University of Michigan Detroit Center, Detroit Disability Power, the Henry Marsh Institute for Public Policy, and the Boy Scouts of America Michigan Crossroads Council among others.

Eric serves as a Project Manager for Advocacy, Equity & Community Empowerment at Focus: HOPE and operates his own political consulting business, Welsby Consulting, LLC. He serves as the Vice Chair for Events with the Eagle Scout Alumni of Michigan and has been recognized as a James E. West Fellow for his support of the Boy Scouts of America. He lives in Southeast Michigan with his loving wife Rebecca and their dog Willow.
