Julie Gowda (she/her) is a nationally established Operations Leader, community development professional, and organization- and community-based researcher partnering as Senior Consultant, Lead Analyst, and Facilitator for Krystal Klir. She guides the firm on client impact and develops and directs company assessment processes and provides project management on a range of projects. True to her passion and training in social work, Julie also contributes as a facilitator, helping leaders to achieve important insights. She has a background in neighborhood-based community development, including the partnership management of high-revenue-and-performance organizations for achieving collective impact.
Julie is process and detail oriented, a strong consultant, researcher, and data analyst. She has extensive experience with nonprofits, sales, business, religious organizations, and healthcare/medical leadership and service. She has attracted and/or managed over $1 million in city, state, and federal contracts and business accounts.
Julie holds a Masters of Education in Community Development and Action from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Bachelors of Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University. She’s a past fellow of the highly regarded Detroit Equity Action Lab (DEAL) and Detroit Revitalization Fellowships. She has a passion for travel and has visited 27 countries. She’s lived in Detroit, Nashville, and Los Angeles, and currently resides with her husband and two children in Ann Arbor, MI.
